Role Overview

As a Senior Backend Engineer at MTechZilla, you will lead the backend development efforts using Node.js and use your knowledge of AWS cloud services. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.
• Design server-side architecture.
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
• Write effective APIs.
• Test and debug APIs to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems.
• Write and maintain technical documentation.
• Ensure code quality and scalability through code reviews and best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
